Artist's proofs are numbered separately from the regular edition. However artist's proofs are produced at the same time as, or subsequent to, the regular edition and are created without change from the regular edition. The artist's proofs are usually retained by the artist for sale or personal use. Artist's proofs are designated by the "A/P" edition mark on the piece.
